Intel today announced the Intel® IoT Retail Gateway Reference Design for Intelligent Vending, the first industry-specific gateway from Intel. The integrated, pre-validated and flexible design was built using the Intel® IoT Platform and includes hardware, software and security building blocks to speed up the development and deployment of smart vending machines. The gateway enables the consolidation of multiple compute workloads into a single PC-based platform, freeing up time for vending manufacturers and operators to focus on innovation.
